Once a church, now a townhome.
This space was once part of a Christian Science church in Marblehead, MA. The developer restored the original gothic arched windows and barrel ceiling, then paired them with a minimalist kitchen: an 11-foot quartz island, custom white oak cabinetry, and pendant lighting.
Adaptive reuse projects like this always spark debate — does keeping the windows + scale preserve the soul of the building, or does the modern kitchen take it in a totally new direction?
