📌 What is AnonX.com?
AnonX is a retro-style, community-driven discussion platform inspired by classic imageboards. It supports both anonymous and registered posting, allowing users to create boards, threads, and replies on any topic—while upholding a spirit of free expression and civil discussion.
🧵 How do I create a new thread?
Navigate to a board of your choice and click on "Create Thread." You’ll be asked to enter a title, message, and optionally an image. Posting anonymously is allowed, but registered users may get additional features in the future.
📁 Can I create my own board?
Yes! Registered users can create boards (subject to a configurable limit). Board names must be one word only and unique, using only letters, numbers, or underscores (e.g., Tech or Random_Thoughts).
🚫 How does moderation work?
Boards are moderated by their creators and any users they assign as moderators. They can soft-delete threads and replies. Site admins have full moderation powers, including restoring deleted content and enforcing global rules.
🔍 What content is not allowed?
Illegal content, doxxing, spam, threats of violence, and explicit material outside of NSFW boards are strictly prohibited. All users are expected to follow the platform’s Terms of Service.
🖼 Can I post images?
Yes. Threads and replies can include image uploads (jpg, jpeg, png only). Images are displayed in a retro layout with thumbnails next to text.
🆔 Do I need to register to post?
No. You can post anonymously. However, registering allows you to create boards and may offer more features in the future.
👥 What's the difference between a board creator and a moderator?
The board creator is the original owner of the board. They can assign other users as moderators to help manage threads and replies. Moderators cannot restore deleted content—that power is reserved for the board creator and site admin.
🔗 How do reply references work?
Replies use a numeric ID system. To reference a reply, use the format ##12345
. This creates a clickable link to the referenced post.
🗂 What is bumping and pruning?
Threads are bumped to the top when they receive a new reply. Each board has a bump limit and a thread limit. When these limits are exceeded, older threads are automatically pruned to keep the board manageable.
📄 What do NSFW boards mean?
Boards marked as NSFW (Not Safe For Work) may contain mature content. These boards are filtered out of the homepage and are not visible to non-logged-in users.
🔐 Is my data secure?
AnonX does not collect excessive personal information. For registered users, your email is kept secure. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
📢 How do I report abuse or illegal content?
You can report any post using the "Report" button next to it. Moderators and site admins will review the report. You can also email us directly at support@AnonX.com.
✍ Can I edit or delete my posts?
Users can delete their replies or threads if logged in. Anonymous posts cannot be edited once submitted. This helps preserve the spirit of discussion integrity.

🛠 What technologies power AnonX?
AnonX is built using various lates frameworks for a mobile-friendly yet retro interface. It combines modern backend performance with an old-school front-end vibe.
📄 Are there any rules for creating board names?
Yes. Board names must be one word only—letters, numbers, and underscores are allowed. Names are case-sensitive, but board links are lowercase and must be unique (e.g., "Tech" becomes "tech"). Duplicates are not allowed.
📚 Will AnonX add more features?
Yes. Stay tuned!
